The August installment of JAR's 10th (I think we lost count its been so long) Annual Skills Clinic Series will be held on Saturday, August 8th, from 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon. Clinics are held the second Saturday of each month from May through October. We are holding the clinic at a new location...and brand new trail in Cherry Hill, NJ. The parking area for the Cherry Hill trail is on Kresson Road a few hundred feet from the intersection with Springdale Road. The mountain bike skills clinics are free, but we kindly ask participants to RSVP to jartread@aol.com or call Jay at 856-470-8967.
The clinics are run by experienced cyclists and National Mountain Bike Patrol certifed instructor/riders. We will cover gear selection, braking, climbing, descending, navigating trail obstacles such as rocks, roots and log overs, balance (track stand and slow race!), trail etiquette and advocacy. We will briefly go over bike equipment, tools and basic bike repair/maintenance. Yes, all this and much, much more... Helmets are mandatory and water is recommended (water bottle or Camelbak).
The clinic series is proudly sponsored by Danzeisen and Quigley (http://www.dandq.com). They are located at 1720 Marlton Pike in Cherry Hill, NJ. Thanks D&Q!
