- Washington Valley Park (also known as Chimney Rock) consists of approximately 705 acres and offers recreational opportunities in an undisturbed natural setting, including hiking, mountain biking, and hawk watching. The 14+ miles of trails are some of the best mountain biking trails in the central part of the state.

- The park can be accessed from Newmans Lane, Vosseller Avenue(at Millers Lane) or the ballfield parking lot on Chimney Rock Road (Bridgewater Township parking lot).

- The Somerset County chapter of JORBA was started in 2008 and included both Washington Valley Park and Sourlands Mountain Preserve. The first year JORBA concentrated on fixing some major drainage problems that built up over the years on existing trails and winning over the confidence of the Park Commission. In the summer of 2008, the IMBA Trail Care Crew came to WVP and together we built new trail as well as reclaiming old trail to add to the yellow trails off Miller Lane. This marked a major point in JORBA's relationship with the Park Commission.

- In 2009 we added a couple of Technical Trail Features (TTF's) & continued to repair & reroute problem areas all over the Park. Major work was done to the White Trail. This included 3 reroutes & moving a bridge that had become useless.
