On Saturday August 20th 2011, the Hilltop Conservancy Hilltop Conservancy and Essex County Parks Commission will hold their 2nd Annual The Hilltop Grasshopper at the Hilltop Reservation in North Caldwell.
Based the feedback we received from last years event (a total of 51 kids, ages K to 6th grade, raced on a 0.6 mile loop) we're really excited to be having this event once again in 2011.

This event is brought to you through a cooperative effort between the Hilltop Conservancy and Essex County Parks. JORBA was also an organizer of the event and provided support and guidance.

On Saturday August 21st 2010, the Hilltop Conservancy Hilltop Conservancy and Essex County Parks Commission held their 1st Annual The Hilltop Grasshopper at the Hilltop Reservation in North Caldwell.
Based the feedback we received we're really excited about the level of success and the turnout of the event: a total of 51 kids, ages K to 6th grade, raced on a 0.6 mile loop. Older kids did more laps, with 5-6 graders doing 4 laps (2.4 miles).
The event was graciously sponsored by Cycle Craft of Parsippany and The Montclair Bikery who provided prizes, medals and other giveaways for the participants. Brendan Poh, general manager of Cyclecraft, was diligent all morning and performed bike tuning for all participants. Kent Bicycle supplied bike computers for all racers. KIDStrong (http://www.kidstrong.com/) supplied free KIDStrong drinks for everyone.
