The Somerset County Park Commission (SCPC) JORBA Chapter, is responsible for trail maintenance at Washington Valley Park (a.k.a. Chimney Rock) and Sourland Mountain Preserve. With Bob Adase stepping aside in Summer 2008 (to work with Round Valley Recreation Area), Kirt Mills has made the transition quickly to lead the Somerset Chapter for JORBA.

In addition, right on the heels of the IMBA TCC visit to Washington Valley Park, Jeff "mtbdawgJeff" Drobits volunteered to spearhead the efforts at Sourland!

Both of these guys have already made a big positive impact on WVP and SMP in 2007 and 2008 and we'd expect good things in store in 2009. Please support these guys however you can, and support the park by participating in events you'll see posted here.

Trail Work occurs on a regular basis at both parks and is coordinated by Kirt Mills Jeff "mtbdawgJeff" Drobits of JORBA and David Dendler of Somerset County Park Commission.
